How to buy a Telegram username on Fragment

Collectible Telegram usernames are sold on Fragment, Telegram's official marketplace, either at auction or for a fixed buy-now price. Payment is in GRAM (formerly TON).

What you need

• A TON wallet with enough GRAM, connected to fragment.com. • Your Telegram account, to log in and later assign the username. • Fragment may ask for identity verification (KYC) for some actions.

Auction or buy now

• Buy now: the seller set a fixed price. You pay it and the username is yours. • Auction: you place a bid at or above the minimum. If someone outbids you, your bid is returned to your wallet. The highest bid when the auction ends wins.

Most of the action in an auction happens near the end, so watch the time left rather than bidding early and high.

How much to bid

Price your bid from real sales of similar usernames, not from what sellers ask. Length, real words, clean spelling and niche (crypto, finance, AI, gaming) matter most; random letter mixes sell for very little. After you win

In Fragment, assign the username to your Telegram account or to a channel you own. The username is an NFT in your wallet, so you can also resell it later on Fragment (see how to sell a username).

Avoid scams

• Buy only on fragment.com. Never pay a stranger directly for a username. • Check the address in your browser before you connect your wallet. • Nobody from Fragment or Telegram will message you to sell you a name.
