How a Telegram gift floor is built from three numbers
A Telegram gift floor is the cheapest buy-now listing in a collection, and that one number hides three different floors. TG Gifts builds the collection floor, the model floor (the cheapest listing of the same model) and the backdrop floor (the cheapest listing with the same backdrop), then uses them in a fixed order: model floor first, then the median of that model's recent sales, and only then the collection floor.
Three floors, three jobs
| Floor | What it measures | What it is built from | Use it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Collection floor | The entry price of the whole collection | The cheapest buy-now listing among all models | You only need to know whether you can get in at all |
| Model floor | The price of the exact model you own or want | The cheapest buy-now listing of that model | You are pricing one specific gift |
| Backdrop floor | The price of the same backdrop inside that model | The cheapest listing with that model and that backdrop | Two gifts differ only by their backdrop |
All three are read from Fragment listings; none of them is a sale price.
On 2026-11-02 the Snoop Cigars collection had a floor of 19 GRAM, while its model Snoop Ring had a model floor of 25 GRAM — 1.32 times the collection floor. Inside that same model the cheapest listings by backdrop ran from 25 GRAM (Raspberry) to 48 GRAM (Khaki Green). Three honest answers to the same question, all from one minute of data.
The order the estimate follows
The estimate does not average the three floors. It walks down a list and stops at the first usable rung. First choice: the cheapest listing of the same model right now. If nothing of that model is listed: the median of the model's recent sales. If there are no sales either: the collection floor. This is why a gift can be worth more than the floor of its collection without anyone overpaying — the model is simply rarer than the collection average, and the model floor proves it with a live listing.
There is one brake on asking prices. If the cheapest listing of the model is more than 1.5 times the median of that model's recent sales (at least 3 sales), the estimate follows the sales instead of the listing. An asking price is not a price: anyone can list a gift at any number and leave it there for months.
What a floor is not
A floor is not a sale, and it is not permanent. It disappears the moment the cheapest listing is bought or withdrawn, and it does not exist at all when a collection has no buy-now listing — on 2026-11-02 that was true for 21 of the 123 collections we track, which were listed only as timed sales. A floor also ignores the 5% Fragment fee on a resale: a gift bought at 100 GRAM and resold at 100 GRAM loses 5 GRAM.
Use the collection floor to understand a market, the model floor to price a gift, and the backdrop floor to settle an argument between two nearly identical items. Then check the date on the page: a floor from yesterday is a historical fact, not a price you can pay today.
The gap to the next listing is the detail most people miss. When the floor is far below the second-cheapest listing, the cheapest gift is usually a quick buy — someone priced it to move. When the two numbers are close, the floor is solid and there is no urgency, because buying the cheapest does not unlock a better price. A floor of 19 GRAM followed by a next listing of 25 GRAM tells a different story from a floor of 19 followed by 20.

Frequently asked questions
Is the floor price the same as the cheapest gift?
For a whole collection, yes: the floor is the cheapest buy-now listing of any gift in it. It is not the price of a specific model — a popular model has its own floor, often several times higher.
Which floor should I use to price my own gift?
The model floor first, then the median of that model's recent sales, and the collection floor only as a last resort. TG Gifts follows exactly that order, and so should you when you compare an offer.
Why do some collections show no floor at all?
Because they have no buy-now listing at that moment — only timed sales, where a timer and the seller decide whether a price is accepted. On 2026-11-02 that was 21 of 123 tracked collections.
Does the floor include Fragment's fee?
No. Fragment takes 5% of the sale price when you resell, so a sale at the floor returns 95% of it. Network and conversion fees are not included either.
