Telegram gift rarity: is my gift rare?

Every upgraded Telegram gift has three traits, and Telegram shows how common each one is. Many owners see a small number next to a trait and assume the gift is worth a lot. Usually it is not. Here is how to read rarity correctly.

What the numbers mean

• Telegram shows rarity in per mille (‰): 15‰ means 15 out of every 1,000 gifts in the collection have this trait, which is 1.5%. • Model, backdrop and symbol are counted separately. • A smaller number means a rarer trait.

Why a rare trait is not the same as a high price

A collection has dozens of models, dozens of backdrops and many symbols. Because there are so many traits, almost every gift has at least one that looks rare. Even the cheapest gift in a collection often has one. Buyers pay for wanted models and backdrops, not for low numbers on their own.

The trait that moves the price most is the model. Two gifts with equally rare models can sell for very different prices because one model is simply more popular.

How to check if your gift is valuable

1. Open the gift and note its collection, model and backdrop. 2. Open the collection page on TG Gifts (from the price list) and find the floor of the same model in the model table. 3. Compare it with the collection floor. If your model's floor is well above the collection floor, your model is wanted. 4. Check that the model really sells: a model with no listings and no recorded sales has no proven price. 5. Or paste your gift link into the free gift price check, which does steps 2 to 4 for you.

Special numbers and combinations

Some collectors pay extra for very low numbers (like #1 to #100) or for a model and backdrop in matching colours. These premiums exist but are irregular and depend on finding the right buyer. We do not price them, and you should not count on them.
