How to sell a Telegram gift

Only upgraded (collectible) gifts can be resold. A regular gift can be converted to Stars, but it has no market price. Once a gift is upgraded it gets a number and three traits (Model, Backdrop, Symbol), and from then on buyers compare it with other gifts of the same collection.

Two ways to sell

1. Inside Telegram: open the gift in your profile, tap Sell, set a price and confirm. Telegram keeps a share of the sale; the app shows what you will receive before you confirm. 2. As an NFT on the TON blockchain: export the gift to your TON wallet, then list it on Fragment or another TON marketplace for a fixed price or an auction. Fragment charges a 5% fee on the sale.

Exporting is not always instant. Telegram can make you wait after an upgrade or a transfer before the gift can be exported, and the app shows the date. Fragment may also ask you to verify your identity (KYC) for some actions, so check this before you count on a quick sale.

How to price your gift

• Start from the collection floor: the cheapest listing in the same collection. See the live floor of every collection. • Then look at the floor of the same model. A popular model usually sells well above the collection floor, a common one close to it. • Backdrop matters too: some backdrops are clearly more wanted than others. • Rarity % alone is not the price. Almost every gift has at least one trait under 1%. • Check that the collection really sells. Many recent sales mean a buyer will come; few sales mean you may wait a long time.

Fixed price or auction?

A fixed price slightly under the floor of the same model is the fastest way to sell. An auction makes sense for a gift with a rare and wanted model, where buyers may compete; for an ordinary gift it often ends at the floor anyway.

Common mistakes

• Copying what other sellers ask. Asking prices are not sales; many never sell. • Forgetting the fee: on Fragment you receive 95% of the sale price. • Pricing a common model like a rare one because of a low rarity %. • Sending the gift to a "buyer" before payment. Use the marketplace, never a private deal with someone you don't know.
